Easy Pistachio Latte Recipe with Real Pistachios 

This easy pistachio latte recipe is made with simple ingredients and only requires a few steps! Equipment

  • 1 high speed blender
  • 1 fine mesh sieve
  • 1 espresso maker or moka pot
  • 1 handheld frother or espresso machine milk steamer for hot latte
  • 1 small pot (if warming milk without milk steamer) for hot latte

Ingredients

Pistachio Flavored Milk (makes enough for 1 large or to 2 small lattes)

  • 1/4 cup roasted and salted pistachios, shelled
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk

For 1 Latte

  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup homemade pistachio flavored milk
  • 2 shots freshly brewed espresso
  • 1/2- to 3/4 cup ice (for iced latte)
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed pistachios (optional)

Instructions

  • Add milk, pistachios, maple syrup, and vanilla to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
  • Filter pistachio milk mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove and grainy bits. Transfer to a storage container or serve
  • Hot Pistachio Latte
  • Warm pistachio milk base in a small saucepan set to medium heat until it reaches desired temperature, then use a handheld electric milk frother to make for frothed milk. Alternatively, use the steamer on an an espresso machine to make warm and frothy steamed milk, but be careful not to overheat it.
  • Combine warm pistachio milk and 2 shots of freshly brewed espresso in a mug. Sprinkle crushed pistachios over the milk foam if you like, and enjoy!
  • Iced Pistachio Latte
  • Pour homemade pistachio flavored cold milk over a serving glass filled halfway with ice.
  • Add freshly brewed espresso as a final iced latte layer.
  • Top optional whipped cream or cold milk foam and crushed pistachios.
  • Enjoy!
