Iced Matcha Lemonade Recipe (Easy & Refreshing)

 This Iced Matcha Lemonade is the perfect balance of energizing matcha and refreshing, tangy lemon. It's not only an earthy, sweet and sour delicacy, but also an antioxidant powerhouse! Whether you're cooling off on a hot summer day or need an afternoon pick-me-up, this is any matcha lovers favorite lemonade!

Equipment

  • 2 small bowls or cups for mixing ingredients
  • 1 whisk or handheld frother
  • 1 16-20 oz serving glass

Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon high quality matcha powder (depending on desired strength)
  • 2/3 cup filtered water (cold or ambient)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/4 cup ice (or more)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl or cup, combine 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of matcha powder and 1/3 cup of the water with a whisk or hand held frother until there are no clumps.
  • In a separate small bowl or cup, combine maple syrup, lemon juice, zest, and salt with the rest of the water.
  • Pour the lemonade mixture into the bottom of your glass of choice.
  • Gently pour the cold matcha mixture into the glass to form a separate layer.
  • Alternatively, mix all ingredients together for a non-layered beverage.
  • Carefully add ice cubes until your glass is full.
  • Enjoy!
