Equipment

  • 1 small cup for mixing ingredients
  • 1 mixing utensil
  • 1 medium cup and handheld milk frother (optional)
  • 1 12 to 16 oz serving glass (depending on desired amount of ice)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup strong coffee (preferably 2 shots of espresso)
  • 2 tablespoons high quality honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 to 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  • Combine honey with freshly brewed espresso, salt, and vanilla in a small cup.
  • If you prefer milk foam on your iced latte, froth milk in a cup with a handheld milk frother.
  • Pour coffee and honey mixture into the bottom of your serving glass.
  • Carefully pour cold milk over coffee layer.
  • Finally, add ice cubes to your drink.
  • Top with a drizzle of honey if you like, being careful not to add too much honey.
  • For a warm vanilla salted honey latte, omit the ice and warm milk in a small saucepan set to medium heat or medium-low heat and use a handheld frother for milk foam. Alternatively, heat milk by using the milk steamer on an espresso machine. Serve in a mug and enjoy!
