Strawberries are packed with vitamin C and antioxidants, supporting the immune system, collagen production, inflammation reduction, and so much more! Matcha contains polyphenols which are powerful antioxidants, as well as L-theanine which can help promote relaxation and stress relief. This pairs nicely with the caffeine energy boost! Ingredients in This Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte Recipe

Strawberries: strawberries add a sweet, fruity twist to an iced matcha latte. You can use fresh or frozen strawberries, either will work! Make sure to use organic strawberries for the healthiest option.
Maple Syrup: maple syrup adds a natural sweetness to this latte recipe without needing to use processed sugar. The maple syrup is cooked with strawberries to create a delicious sauce, which is then pureed until smooth.
Matcha: matcha is the star of the show in this recipe! Matcha has been growing in popularity lately, and for good reason. It provides a jitter-free energy boost, along with many health benefits from antioxidants. It’s best to use a high quality product, such as ceremonial grade matcha. The origin of the product is also important, as teas from some regions can be higher in heavy metals than from others. I personally limit my matcha drinks to 1 per day to help reduce the risk of excess exposure to potential heavy metals.
Milk: milk adds a balanced, creamy taste to this cold drink. Choose high quality, pasture raised milk for the healthiest option.
How to Make This Iced Drink Beautiful

The delicious taste is not the only thing to enjoy about this drink – it is made with colorful layers that add more beauty to your day! The vibrant green color of the matcha is contrasted by white milk and the deep pink strawberry syrup on the bottom.
- Opt for a glass cup for this recipe instead of metal or ceramic, so you can see the layers. I like to use a mason jar!
- When you are ready to create your matcha latte, first add the strawberry layer. Next, carefully pour the milk layer followed by ice. You should see two distinct layers of color so far. After that, carefully add the bright green matcha layer. I like to enjoy this creamy latte with a metal straw!
Hot Water for the Matcha?
Hot water is not required to make matcha! Using cold water creates a sweeter, more subtle flavor. For cold matcha drinks it’s perfectly fine to use cold or room temperature water.
Bamboo Whisk?
It is common to use a special bamboo whisk to blend delicate green tea matcha powder. If you don’t have a special matcha whisk, no problem! I don’t have one either. I just use a regular whisk or a handheld frother to mix the matcha thoroughly with the water. There are special techniques involved in making a cup of ceremonial matcha, but since this recipe has added flavors, it’s not as important as it when making a plain, hot matcha.
Can you Store This Matcha Latte?
I recommend making this refreshing drink right before you are ready to enjoy it, but you can make the strawberry syrup ahead of time! It can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
How to Make an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte
